Identification

34–36 cm

  • Yellow plumage
  • Green flight feathers

Distribution

South America: endemic to Brazil.

This is a monotypic species[1], which in the past has been placed in genus Aratinga.

The genus name is also spelled Guarouba.

Habitat

Amazon rainforest.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists mostly of fruit.
