Identification
Length 15cm
Very small size is distinctive. Reddish-brown spotted with black above, buff below barred with brown on breast and flanks. Crown blackish.
Distribution
South America: found in interior south-eastern Brazil and north-eastern Argentina (Misiones)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Scrub and open woodland.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes grass seeds, termites, insects and arthropods.
