  • Dull brown-grey
  • Chestnut rear and tail
  • Red dewlap
  • Whitish-scaled feather edges from head to mantle and breast

Distribution

South America: found only in subtropical western and central Andes of Colombia

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Cloud Forest, pines and alders.
