Genus: Mentocrex
Description
A genus containing two species of Forest Rails from Madagascar. They were formerly called Wood Rails but are not closely related to the new world Wood Rails but more closely related to Forest Rails in genus Rallicula.
This genus was formerly misspelled as Mentrocrex in the world wide authorities.
Taxonomy
Mentocrex is a genus in the family Sarothruridae.
