Description

Four species of kingfisher. The range of this genus is almost worldwide.

Taxonomy

Megaceryle is a genus in the Family Alcedinidae.

Two members of this genus Ringed Kingfisher and Belted Kingfisher were recently moved here from genus Ceryle.
