Description

A single species, Crab-plover. Characteristic features include the heavy bill and the black-white plumage

Taxonomy

Dromas is a monotypic genus in the family Dromadidae. A recent DNA study indicates that this species is closely related to pratincoles and coursers (Glareolidae).
