Identification
25–28 cm
Brown above barred with black, throat and belly white, remainder of underparts rufous, flanks barred black. Crown blackish.
Distribution
South America: found in eastern Peru, Brazil, Ecuador and northern Bolivia. Resident.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Tropical rain forest and shrubby thickets.
Behaviour
Diet
There is very little information available, but they are likely to eat insects and berries.
