    • Violet iridescence on throat and upper breast
  • Olive-green upperparts

Africa
Western Africa: Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: Zambia

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

This is one of the seven Sunbirds that have recently been moved into the genus Cyanomitra from the genus Nectarinia.

Habitat

Evergreen and riverine forests, also occasionally seen in miombo woodland.

Behaviour

The diet includes nectar and insects, including termites and spiders.
