    Very busy at the bird feeder today!

    Look who dropped in! Hi, I am back to BF after a long absence. Bird feeders still as busy! A couple of weeks we had a baby Goldcrest bump into a window, sat on sill for a while before flying away. Was sooooo tiny!

    Amazing photos. ChrisKten. A very good record of intelligence in bird behaviour and in your own garden too.:t: We have a very busy garden at the moment. The Chaffinches have done well this year a long with the Blue Tits and House Sparrows with a Tree Sparrow joining the flock the last few days...

    Hi Pam, I must admit I am concerned about one of our young Goldfinches(there are 2 now) as it appears to eat from dawn to dusk. It was sitting on a just filled tray of feed this morning and scaring everyone else off. If it carries on it will have all the aerodynamics of a brick!!! Do birds know...

    Jeff, Congratultions on the RCW! Finally got a picture of the juvenile Goldfinch. Not a good picture due to the rain, but definite Goldfinch.ps Seed all thrown to the floor by birds on the feeders above!!

    Garden very busy this morning with various families: Greenfinch 6+, House Sparrows 10, 2 new males arrived, Goldfinch 3(no sign of juv. this am), Juv. Robin plus adult, Dunnock plus juv. another Dunnock went off with a beak full of seed so must be feeding young, Chaffinch 5, Blue tits...

    Jabberwocky and Fozzy, I love the photos of the adults feeding their young:t: Great excitement this morning I saw my first Goldfinch fledgling!! I am so chuffed!!:bounce:It was very unsteady in the shrub it was in so I hope it survives. OH not at home so couldn't get a photo.:-C
