Spotting Scope Research: Swarovski, Zeiss and Leica

I've been using a Televid 65 for a few weeks now and I don't see any CA in everyday observations (there may be some slightly at the extreme edge of the field of view if the weather is grey and the bird is black, but that's it). All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase, the wide...

    WAITING FOR TRINOVID 7x42 BN

Yes I'll see what they say, I think the broken eyecup should be fixed for free as it's a recurring problem and other members who had the same thing got it fixed for free Concerning the scratched eyepiece, I truly hope they will replace it at the same time but I think I will have to pay for it

    WAITING FOR TRINOVID 7x42 BN

I bought it second hand for a good price but unfortunately when I received it, the rotating collar knob was missing, the eyecup is broken (apparently this is common and Leica knows about it) and there are 3 big scratches on the eyepiece (which do not disturb the view, but still) Looking through...

    WAITING FOR TRINOVID 7x42 BN

Excellent news, I look forward to seeing the photos I sent my televid 65 last week, I hope they will be as generous with the repairs

Swarovski ATS 65HD vs Leica APO 65 vs Kowa 773

I have no experience with the ATC but its price is higher than a 65mm second hand spotting scope so my choice was quickly made Moreover, I find this ATC toy-like whereas the spotting scopes mentioned above look very solid and robust

Swarovski ATS 65HD vs Leica APO 65 vs Kowa 773

I unfortunately have no experience with any spotting scope, but I am about to buy a televid 65 for a good price

Swarovski ATS 65HD vs Leica APO 65 vs Kowa 773

Because I have the impression that 65 spotting scopes are like 32mm binoculars: light, excellent performance without making too many sacrifices and that spotting scopes below 65mm are like compact binoculars where there are compromises to be made whether on FoV, eye relief and so on

Swarovski ATS 65HD vs Leica APO 65 vs Kowa 773

Hi, I recently acquired a great pair of binoculars. Now I need a spotting scope, so I did some research and according to my birding style (I carry my binoculars + camera + telephoto lense) I would like something not too heavy or bulky. So I did some research and initially I thought that the...

    New NL pure 10x32 owner

6 hours of intensive birding this weekend and the NL Pure once again surpassed all my expectations. It's really mindblowing I took my previous pair of binoculars (Kite Ursus 8x42 - entry level) with me because I knew that a friend would join me during the afternoon The difference is really...

    Binocular Sightings

I don’t know exactly what was wrong but each time the view was reaaaally underwhelming. I could resolve way better with my NL pure 10x32 than both the ATX 85 when we were looking at a spoonbill ~250m away And my girlfriend who isn’t a dedicated birder nor an optic snob (she didn’t know it was a...
