Weekend rpundup

As none of the expert local chaps have posted, here are my sightings from the last weekend.
Lundy Bay 28th Oct: long tailed tit, oyster catcher, shag, bullfinch, goldfinch, pied wagtail, bluetit, rock pipit, blackbird, songthrush, chaffinch, greenfinch, buzzard, jackdaw, carrion crow, herring gull, collared dove, house sparrow, starling.
31st Oct, Amble Marshes (Burniere Hide): little egrets x3, dunlin x40, lapwings x40, curlew.
Last visit till New Year - look after the best spot in the world till then!
 
8-PWhat no pictures of the American Bittern on this thread8-P

My pic's are poor compared to others I have seen, but I think the main thing to say is thanks! to the majority on the CBWPS committee for opening up this fantastic reserve for as many people as possible to be able to view this long distance vagrant in peace.

Rumps Point yesterday afternoon, birds included 1 Leach's Storm-Petrel, 1000+ Kittiwake, 1300+ Gannet, 500+ Auk sp, 2 Great Skua and 4 Bottle-nosed Dolphin.

The Wednesday Bird Walk GRoup noted 56 Species today on the estuary, highlights include;
8 Bar-tailed Godwit, 40 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Common Sandpiper, 200 Curlew, 16 Dunlin, 1200 Golden Plover, 1 female Goosander, 10 Greenshank, 8 Grey Plover, 1 Kingfisher, 150 Lapwing, 27 Little Egret, 3 Little Grebe, 21 Mallard, 32 Redshank, 20 Ringed Plover, 1 Spoonbill, 2 Spotted Redshank, 42 Teal, 1 Water Rail and 60 Wigeon.
 
Very good views of the American Bittern this afternoon in the reserve and just outside!
Other birds at Amble Marshes included, 1 Curlew Sandpiper, 4 Dunlin, 1 Greenshank, Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Whooper Swan, 1 1stW Spoonbill and 10 Stock Dove.

I thought I would be selfish and take a big lens to Amble Marshes today! but there was plenty of room this afternoon as many people left after getting good views.
American Bittern still, Spoonbill, Water Rail, Dunlin, Whooper Swan and Black-Tailed Godwit.

Brilliant news on the American Bittern!! very jealous and frustrated i can't get down to Wadebridge!!

No sign of the American Bittern this morning at Amble Marshes but 2+ Lapland Bunting with Skylark and Linnet in the car-park field. Plus Whooper Swan, 121 Black-Tailed Godwit, 10 Greenshank, 900+ Fieldfare and 400+ Redwing over NE.
 
Walk from Guineaport to Grogley this morning;
2 lapwing, 2 little grebe, little egret, cormorant, grey heron, teal, 2 green sandpiper, dipper, pied wagtail, kingfisher, mute swan, blue tit, L.T.tit, great tit, coal tit, marsh tit, nuthatch, G.S. woodpecker, green woodpecker, robin, dunnock, black headed gulls, jay, magpie, jackdaw, rook, carrion crow, raven, 1 redwing, (skylark and fieldfare heard flying over), 2 otters.

Rumps Point this morning; birds included 6 Pale-Bellied Brent Goose, 3 Eider, 4 Red-Breasted Merganser, 50+ Common Scoter, 2 Red-Throated Diver, 3 Black-Throated Diver, 1 Wigeon, 1 Whimbrel, 6 Sanderling, 1 Snow Bunting and 10 Lapland Bunting.

The Wednesday Bird Walk Group recorded a total of 60 Species on the estuary today including; 21 Bar-tailed Godwit, 75 Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Common Gull, 1 Common Sandpiper, 12 Cornorant, 250 Curlew, 200 Dunlin, 50 Fieldfare, 1000 Golden Plover, 1 female Goosander, 12 Greenshank, 10 Grey Plover, 1 Kingfisher, 3 Knot, 175 Lesser Black-backed gull, 27 Little Egret, 6 Little Grebe, 31 Mallard, 5 Mediterranean Gull, 150 Redshank, 200 Redwing, 32 Ringed Plover, 36 Shelduck and 61 Teal.
 
Walmsley this morning, birds included;
100+dunlin, 50+ B.T.Godwit, 7 greenshank, 1 redshank, mute swan,snipe,moorhen, coot, little egret, grey heron, spoonbill, 7 shoveler, teal, 1 green sandpiper, curlew, 1 tufted duck, canada geese, reed bunting, chiff chaff, bullfinch, large numbers of redwing and fieldfare.
Pentire - 6+ bottlenose dolphins in the estuary,then headed for Trevose, fieldfare, large flocks of starlings, skylark, c20 linnets, kestrel, sparrowhawk, peregrine, merlin, shag, grey seal.
 
Guineaport this morning - 4 lapwing, 2 culrew, 2 little grebe, black headed gull, goosander (video here but its blowing a gale so a bit shakey!).
1 BIG salmon jumped clear out of the water onto the bank - oh to be on the other side!! (it wriggled back in).
