Constantine and the Camel estuary

Yesterday saw a grey heron and two curlews (I think, rather than whimbrels) on the beach at Constantine. Also greater black backed gulls (adult and juvenile). At St George's Well, in addition to black headed gulls and stonechats, saw what might have been a corn bunting. Will others more expert than i please comment - how likely and if not, then what might it have been (it was in a hedge rather than open field).
My first post: I live in Bristol and am a regular visitor to the Camel area. Would like to say how much I enjoy this thread and envy the knowledge of the posters!

I saw a couple of Corn Buntings near Trevone beach during the summer -we had walked there from Padstow, and I was looking for them all the way! So, not out of the question I'd have thought, but some of the locals might come on with more positive information.
Ah, St George's Well...... lovely!

What an extraordinary piece of luck to get the ring not only visible, but readable!!!

Did you notice it was ringed before taking the pic?

Peter, Dij and Col. Thanks for get together on Wednesday night we should have done that years ago.
Flypasts are usually reserved for special occasions. Closing the door to leave the house and about 20 Fieldfare flew over. How appropriate is that?
Will follow the thread and will keep in touch
Best wishes
