Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis calurus) dark phase, western juvenile.
Habitat
Post Oak Savanna vegetation area, Brazos River Valley, agriculture fields and tame pastureland at 77 m (253 ft) elevation.
Location
Union Bend Road, northwest of Mumford,
Robertson County, Texas, USA.

Another classic soaring hawk shot. Beautiful Stanley! I never would have pegged that as a red tail, we don't have that morph in NJ.
