Mountain out of a Molehill (Erithacus rubecula)

This resourceful Robin was using the numerous mole hills on the marshes as vantage points to see over the long grass. Clever little bird. It is bright and sunny today but too cold for me. It is meant to be warmer tomorrow but grey and damp so it looks like another weekend when I don't venture out. Roll on the Spring. I wish we could hibernate. Ron

This little fella is probably waiting for a nice juicy worm to poke its head out of this molehill Ron, lovely shot mate...Make sure you've got ya thermal undies on, as its really cold out there today.

You sure it's a molehill and not a Cowpat?|=)| Great pose and molehill perch, Ron, well done mate. It makes me think, as Robins have always followed Farmers around that turned over the earth; I guess this is pretty similar.

I sometimes think the bird life is much smarter than us Ron.

A beautiful example of this.
