Grey on a Grey Day (Pluvialis squatarola)

Another shot of a close encounter with a Grey Plover at Lake Lothing, Lowestoft. I had a bit of a dilemma here, as was busy photographing several close waders when it started to rain. There was no shelter and my camera isn't weatherproof. I carried on for as long as I dared but then put the camera away in its case, whereup it promptely stopped raining. Meanwhile the birds had flown off. Ron

You need an umbrella...and a willing assistant, Ron. I can just see you in a cagoule...(i think that's how you spell it;))
Great looking shot, the light on the water is really eye-catching. Excellent work, well worth getting soaked for:clap::t:

Super capture of this pretty wader Ron, well done mate...You gotta keep your equipment dry, tuck it under ya jacket. Yesterdays "Jack In The Green" shot was on the theme of the old Pagan, May Day parades/festivals that go on in this part of the country. They're a weird old lot here in Hastings, they dont need much of an excuse to dress up and act daft..

Terrific image on the plover Ron. Had nature working against you for a bit and still came away with a beauty.
