Dad keeping watch
Male Downy Woodpecker keeping an eye out for his fledglings who fledged today. I was surprised they weren't up his rear.
Habitat
Forests, woodlots, willows, river groves, orchards, shade trees. Found in wide variety of habitats, from wilderness areas to second-growth woods to suburban yards, but generally favors deciduous trees.

WOW still having nests, that's so cool, i thought only our birds like that.
