Allen The Spider - ID Please

Decided to call it Allen as it had made a home for itself in the Allen Hide at RSPB Leighton Moss.

Can anyone tell me what the ID is on it as it was a pretty impressive Spider.

I would guess it's a cross or garden spider (Araneus diadematus). There's a great spider site here. Nice pic Margaret - interest both inside and outside the hide then. ;)

Manjeet I did not think one of the Singh family Spiders would look like this....or is it a member of the wifes side of the family.

Whoa..............I used to go in that particular hide all the time when I was a kid. Didn't realise at the time that Shelob lived there.
