Missing two babies (1 Viewer)

We have two dove babies incubating for about a week. When I look out the window early this early morning, I don't see dove in the nest. My husband checked the nest through the camera after probably 3 hours later, and we don't see any babies in the nest. The parents were around the surrounding areas whole time looking their babies? What could have happened?

Any number of predators could have taken them, it only takes seconds. Once a predator has found a nest they will often return and clear it out.

The young doves will have gone to feed the young of some other creature.

Thank you. I'm so sad about this. Birds don't usually go in these areas because they're under a cover. However, I saw a blue jay twice a few days before.🥲
