I don't recall seeing mention here of this new book by Dominic Mitchell. I just received my copy and my initial reaction is very favourable. It's available direct from the publishers, Lynx (http://www.lynxeds.com/product/birds-europe-north-africa-and-middle-east-1).

It had been mentioned before, I think, but not reviewed. Personally, I wonder whether this book offers much new info.

I got my copy about 2 weeks and have already used it several times. I really like it, eventhough of course the info has to be condensed very much and most of it could be found using other sources and with more time at hand.
I'm impressed how up to date the book is, including almost all recent IOC splits.
The WP borders used however are different from what is normally used as Iran and the whole Arabian peninsula are included.
If enough interest exists I might take the time to write a more in depth review...
