It’s churlish to pick out one scene like this when the whole film is awash with glories, but it’s fascinating to watch and we also get to see what happens when a cicada responds to Attenborough’s clicking fingers and promptly runs into our favourite presenter’s ear. It’s obvious he’s wincing with pain, though the chuckling film crew drown out a lot.

The people that live here, work alongside some of Britain’s rarest and most unusual wildlife including capercaille and wildcats. But, there is a felling that winters in the Cairngorms are changing, with the changing climate, the future of these spectacular snow-capped mountains and their unique wildlife could be an uncertain one. (How in 30 minutes can they do full justice to this wonderful area, let alone how climate change could affect it. BBC this could have been 2 1 hourly programmes at least) my words folks, any comments to the BBC please, let they know we care about our environment and its wildlife.

Veiwers in Scotland can still see it, if they have sky. Just go to channel 959 on SKY (BBC2 England) or 961 on SKY (BBC2 Wales) to watch or record.

I am glad you are happy with the selection this week, sadly not enough nature on Sundays for some of us. I don't even bother putting tv on.

Thanks John for the information for our Scottish members I hated to think they were all missing a daily nature programme and a New Series not repeats.
