Water proofing binoculars? (1 Viewer)

Hi all.

Figure I should introduce myself, since this is my first post. I'm 28 years old, unemployed, and struggling to find birds up here - 3 hours south of the arctic circle... With any luck, I might be moving to the US next year though :)

Anyway, I just ordered a pair of Bresser binoculars (condor 10*42), and I was thinking to myself: Wouldn't it be a good idea to try to seal the "seams" in the rubber coating before I even started using them? So if anyone has any input on this, I'd appreciate it!

Also, any comments about the brand itself would be very interesting. I haven't even gotten them yet ;)

Anyway, that's all. Take care!

Hi Klant,

Welcome to Birdforum, from all of us here on Staff!
You must know your local birds well, though...
Interesting idea you have there!

Andy.
