Vulture feeding stations in Europe? (1 Viewer)

One place I know in national parc "Hohe Tauern" in Austria in the Krumlbach valley.
There are very high chance for Barded Vulture and in the summer season comes also Griffon Vulture to Austria ( comes from Friaul in Italy ).

Next place is in Friual, in the reservat lake Cornino.
This is an really nice area.
I counted 86 Griffon vultures in the morning.
Also one Black Vulture was there, but this is very unusual.

Excellent for vultures and other raptors, but outside Alps, is Daida in north east Greece.
There You see Griffon Vulture and also different Black Vultures.
I visited this area middle of October, when the forest starts to get collorful.
Dadia area has registered 39 different raptors, more then any other area in Europe.
Middle of October is also chance to see migration of Greater spotted Eagle !
Egyption Vulture already left in October.

Buy the way You can watch Vultures from Dadia, but there is a much better place near peak, where You have vultures very close.
I have to find out where it was.
I slept in Apolithomeno Dasos Holiday Villas, which are not cheap but excellent price performance level.
The owner explained me the way.

Also well outside of the Alps (and, indeed, Europe!) is Gamla Nature Reserve in Israel where you can get extremely close views of Griffon Vulture and Egyptian Vulture.

I believe there's also a Griffon Vulture preserve in Croatia on the island of Cres, but I've not visited it.

Good luck,
Simon
