Twites? Burton Marsh Uk (1 Viewer)

I know there is at least one linnet in the picture as it is a crop from a picture of quite a large flock of linnets at Burton Marsh. For those of you who don't know where this is, it's a saltmarsh near RSPB Parkgate and Burton Mere Wetlands and is on the Dee Estuary. It is frequented by meadow pipit, skylark, little egret and hen harriers and short eared owls in winter. The date was 18/01/2014 and it was light rain.
Thanks :t:

All look like Linnets to me I'm afraid. The grey head pattern, larger beaks and plain reddish/brown mantle all confirm this in my opinion.

The Twite do occasionally cross onto the Cheshire side of the Dee estuary (c6 sightings Jan-Mar this year). Agree with others, that the photo only shows Linnets.
