Thanks for posting Thomas, an entertaining read. Just one thing, I know identifying from photos is fraught with risk, but to me your pictured Lanner shows a very broad moustache, more like a Peregrine? (I'll prepare to be shot down now ).

I hope you enjoyed your drive over the Tiz N Test pass!
Some wonderful scenery and many hairy twists and turns.
It was built by the French Foreign legion apparently.

Agreed re: the falcon, but i'm no expert!

Never negotiate any fines, refuse to pay - they need proof, you are only responding to intimidation and making it worse for everybody else. Stick to your guns, they tried to confiscate alcohol off of us, on a coach, heading to Dhakla saying that we did'nt need it and we might try and sell it!

What a joke - they wanted it because, as muslims, they cannot go into a bar and buy it................no way.

Appeasement never works, don't do it
