The One Show tonight (3 Viewers)

It irritates me when programmes such as this deliberately fiddle with things so you are not seeing what you think you are. The actual footage shown was not entirely where they were filming, but only a Rutland Water regular would know.

Later in the evening Springwatch was more obviously trying to hoodwink us with Common Crane footage. The feature was about fenland/East Anglia Cranes but one sequence showed a group all with multiple colour-rings which must have been down Somerset way and part of the re-introduction project based on Slimbridge: only a very few of those birds have made it to the natural re-colonisation areas.

Any idea what the survival rate or breeding success of the plastic Cranes is?
