... is still a pretty good binocular, after all those years. Decent optics, even by today's standards, excellent build quality with very nice armour and one of the very best focusers ever.

Anyone still use one?

I had a pair for about a year, and you're correct they are very nice binoculars and often overlooked, but in their time they were one of the best alphas and if you can pick one up for a good price they are still a good value. Their only faults are they are slightly heavy for a 32 mm at 25 oz. and you get a little CA on the edge if CA bothers you. Other than that, I would recommend them for their great build quality and silky focuser. They were always compared to the Nikon SE 8x32 porro back in the day, and that is saying a lot right there.

I still use the original HG/LX in both 8/10X32, the most durable armor ever placed on a binocular. Never needed service.
