Birding for fun
Have the opportunity to visit Tampere, Finland during the last week of October, first week Nov. Would be grateful for any suggestions as to what one can do there. I would be keen to spend a half day birding or so, but what other attractions are there? Would a hire car be beneficial for some sightseeing? Where would be a good place, central in the town/city to stay (b&b basis probably?)
I have never visited Finland so could anyone guide me as to the general prices of things i.e. is it more expensive than UK for drinking and eating out?
Weather possibilities at that time of the year and any specific birds that I would consider unusual compared to UK?
