This is actually a bird ringed in Delaware Bay this spring by a team including various BTO staff members. We don't have the full details yet, but will pass them on when we do.

Where and when did you see this bird?

It was seen on Saturday 30th August PM on Pasture Bay beach, Mustique, an Island in St.Vincent & the Grenadines West Indies Caribbean.
We do not get many Sanderling here, only 3/4 this seen so far this year.

This Ruddy Turnstone picture from last winter,it was here for about 5 months, would you know anything about this bird?

This one we do know a little more about... It was ringed at Gandy's Beach on the New Jersey side of Delaware Bay on 27 May 2007. If you can let us know the date and place you saw this Turnstone, we'll get the ringers to send you full details.

The Turnstone was first seen on the 2nd Jan 2008, it was last seen early May 2008, there were a small group of 6-8 Turnstones at Endeavor Bay which is part of the Cotton House Hotel , Mustique, St.Vincent & the Grenadines, West Indies.
We have about 6 beaches where Turnstones can be seen but these 2 were only ever seen on this one.
This picture looks like a different ringing project.

The bird with just a green flag and ring is most likely also a Delaware Bay bird from some years ago, but this is just a cohort mark.

The second bird (KV1) was originally ringed on 25th May 2007 at Slaughter Beach in Delaware Bay.

These are a really useful run of sightings, so keep them coming. If you just want to send a summary of a whole lot of birds with multiple dates then that would be great. If you just PM them to me then I'll put you in touch with the ringer.

Two of the Turnstones seen last year have been sighted again today at the same beach as last year.
