Hi, this small bird was perched at the top of a 40 foot tree in the large field behind my house near the Hat Yai airport on August 1, 2020. I first thought it was a sunbird but then the eye-ring doesn't seem to fit that. But I am unable to match it to any photos of any of the white-eyes or ioras that frequent this part of Thailand. Hence my request for assistance in its identification.
thank you in advance
steve

Thanks, I took a photo of a different female brown throated sunbird, which I posted here on birdforum on August 7 and it did not have the eye-ring or even any hint of one that I could see. Now I am wondering if I misidentified the bird I posted in the gallery:)
thanks
steve
