Sacred Ibis N.Italy (1 Viewer)

Grafham Water Birder
Whilst driving from Milan to Turin on the A4 I saw a small gathering of Sacred Ibis beside a drainage ditch (10-15 birds). I assume these are from some localised breeding population near-by?

There's loads of them in the area, we saw them too two years ago when we were there for a failed twitch. I am not sure if they breed or not. If you need the data we can ask some local contacts and let you know.

Many thanks for the reply - I recall hearing about large numbers in France a decade ago, and after a quick Google, I see that numbers are now appearing in Northern Italy too.
