I have watched robins fly over my house in central Indiana and perch in my tree mostly every night at dusk since August 23. But the questions I have is: they are not flying south..all of them are flying west / north. 300 degrees to be exact .... WHY!

The Robins are roosting. Can you get a count and some pictures?
I live in North Carolina, I know of two huge roosting sites here, Cullowhee behind the Mexican Restaurant and Franklin across from the McDonalds. Think: hundreds of thousands of birds, and HAWKS. Man, I'm tellin' you, keep an eye on this one.
