Red crowned cranes Nov (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to see wild red crowned cranes or are you only able to see the ones in the observatories etc. Although it would be great to see them regardless it's always better to see non tame birds. Is it possible to birdwatch in eastern or northern Hokkaido in Nov without a car or would it be better to try and coordinate with the wild bird society?
