Recording bird song to iPod touch/iPhone (1 Viewer)

I ordered a small microphone to go on my iPod touch and was thinking of trying to record bird song with it. Its one of the really small ones off Amazon so I'm not sure how well it will pick up the song but thought it'd be worth a try.

Anyone else tried this?

Will post on here my results for anyone else interested in trying this out.

That's what I'm thinking, worth a try though. Haven't managed to find a directional mic for an iPod!

Mic arrived this morning so thought I'd give it a quick try in the garden and right on time a Robin gave a snippet of song and the rest is just car noise and a bit of wind chime.

Quick search for audio hosting on the web found me this website so uploaded it on there. Let me know if this loads okay for you etc?
