Rare/Scarce Japan bird news (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I will be in Japan in a little over a week and am interested in any up-to-date info on rarities or scarce wintering birds that may be hanging around at the moment.

Particularly interested in Scaly-sided Merganser (there was one mentioned in a trip report from December in Kyushu somewhere) and Siberian Crane.

Also, it would be good to catch up with Baer's Pochard again or anything else that may be of interest.

Is there any kind of regularly updated Japan rare bird alert-type resource out there? Perhaps a twitter or facebook thing?

Thanks
Matt
