Hi,
we saw this in the garden of our rented accomodation in Mecklenburg Vorpommern, just below Fishland-Darß Eastern Germany mid June 2020.

I think it probably is a juvenile Eurasian Nuthatch, or woodpecker and would like confirmation or otherwise. I haven't seen one in the Opus with a barred chin though.

Thank you very much!

Hello Andy,

I agree with you, its a Nuthatch (everything is there). Barring on the chin seems ruffled feathers to me.
After downloading and brightening it up, I get the feeling of a worn/ruffled plumage, therefore I think its an adult (? confirmation or correction, please!).

But it seems an interesting/distinctive bird to me. It seems to have a pale blueish-grey back and a whitish belly with only the slightest peachy hue (those are the colours I see on my screen). Yes, a question/suggestion comes into my mind, but I hope for others to jump in.

Thanks for sharing this interesting bird!

I enclose the brightened picture, I hope you dont mind.
