Patch Willow Emerald (1 Viewer)

pdwinter

Paul Winter
At long last I found a couple of Willow Emeralds on my patch on 15.08.22 while surveying Nutsey Lake (Testwood nr Southampton). 29th odonata species for the patch. Missed the Yellow-Winged Darters of 2005 as I was travelling back from spain, Common Hawker which had (largely) disappeared (from southern Hampshire) by the time I took an interest in dragonflies and last year's Vagrant Emperor.

I see there was a Willow Emerald in Crewe on 14th - some leap from the closest records Record of Willow Emerald Damselfly (Chalcolestes viridis)
