Nikon 800MM PF Lens anyone yet..? (2 Viewers)

Many photographers with the 600mm f/4 used a teleconverter most of the time as did I with mine. With the 800mm I get a 3 lb lighter setup which increases mobility. The Nikon 500mm PF is what kept me from seriously considering Canon or Sony for mirrorless. I ordered a 800mm PF as soon as I received the notification from NPS and a few days ago they sent me notice that it was about to be shipped to the dealer for me. Nikon does not drop ship so the lens will arrive in California and get shipped to New York and then back to me in California.

Its everything the reviews say it is. A nice bonus is the carrying shoulder bag, it’s large enough for the lens and a Z9.

It's been a while since I posted here, but I've had the 800mm PF since May and use it regularly on the Z7ii. It's everything you could want - light weight, very sharp, and easy to handhold. I've carried the lens and shot continuously on hikes of over 5 miles in 90 degree heat. I've also used it at shutter speeds as slow as 1/100 sec handheld. The long focal length makes it easy to control backgrounds. It also makes it easier to approach subjects without spooking them.

Here are a few sample images.
