Yo ! Greetings from chilly N-E Québec ! I have been feeding birds for a long time, but just black sunflower. Some peanuts for the blue jays. I attract black-capped chckadees, mostly, and a few other kinds of sunflower addicts that winter over here. Ma crow used to come 2 feet from me to get her slice of bread, but she never returned the year Katrina struck. But one young one is starting to get accustomed to me and comes within 20 feet of me now. I will work her over some more this year. The big raven couple has returned to the deep woods because the pesky army of crows have returned from the US. I'll see them again next November.
