Moore Nature Reserve (1 Viewer)

Had a morning on Moore on Wednesday, and we appeared to be the only birders on the reserve. We visited the feeding station and a couple of the lakes nearest the car park. Had an excellent visit for numbers of species but nothing much out of the ordinary.

In the woods, jay, jackdaw, magpie, wood pigeon, blackbird.

On the feeders, great, blue and marsh/willow tit (too brief an appearance to determine which), chaffinch, reed bunting, robin, nuthatch, pair of GS woodpeckers.

On the water, black headed gull, herring gull, coot, moorhen, mallard, teal, pochard, tufty, great crested and little grebe, immature cormorant, Canada and greylag geese.

In the sky, carrion crow, buzzard.

Car park needs a bit of work as it gets very mucky after a bit of rain but, all in all, a really nice place to visit.
