My apologies if I should not be posting this here - but it seems quite a rare bird to us.

By coincidence, I had a first visit to my garden feeder yesterday by a leucistic greenfinch (I think). It is a lovely primrose yellow all over with deeper yellow bars on the wings.

I have my own leucistic sparrow that has been visiting my feeders in the far northwest corner of Missouri over the past month and a half. He comes in with a flock of house sparrows and is certainly outstanding with his golden color.

I did not know about leucisim and discovered this is what I had by contacting Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
