Hi. I'm a budget traveller travelling solo (but see my other invitation to join post) traveling to Guatemala. I'm looking for info on budget travel to and from Los Tarrales. Read on if you can help. I can get TO the reserve with a surf shuttle heading to the ocean (and paying the full cost!) but leaving is more problematic as these shuttle do not pick up people on the road to get back to Pana. to complicate matters, I want to catch a 7 30AM bus in Pana to Lanquin. I'd hoped to arrange for a SanLucasTolliman taxi to pick me up early to go to Toliman, and then take a private lancha to Pana**. that would still cost about $40US but thats better than a fully private shuttle the entire way which would likely be more like $100 or 150. Can anyone with some experience with this to offer me some advice? Thank-you!!
