India in Autumn (1 Viewer)

Am planning to spend 2 weeks in India in Autumn doing the Cultural triangle (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur) and then tiger reserves near Nagpur.

The questions I have are;

1/ In the cultural area I'm planning to visit Chambal, Keoladeo (bharatpur)and Sultanpur - any obvious omissions ?
2/ Late September or late November - which would be best ?
3/ Near Nagpur we would visit Kanha, Pench and Satpura. The drive times between these are quite horrendous. Is it worth visiting both Kanha and Pench or better to just have additional time at one of these (if so which) thinking of both birds and the obvious chance to see tigers. Are there any essential places to see in transit between these parks ?

Thanks
Tony

Tony, just on timing at Chambal, check carefully when Indian Skimmer arrives. We visited on 19th Nov and we're just too early... You'll then have a decision to make!

Thanks Andy - the weeks will be pretty much fixed so it would probably be around about the 19th so fingers crossed !

I'm particularly keen on any comments re Pench and Kanha. Are they sufficiently different to justify going to both or are they pretty much the same so might as well save the travel and stay at one (which one ?!!).

I think Kanha has more reliable tiger sightings. I also think Tadoba is not that far from Pench and also more reliable for tiger. For the birds, I don't know, but there should be some places with Forest Owlet around there if you do a search on cloudbirders.

Thanks Temmie.
