Hello, I'm hoping to be in devon in july for two weeks hols, sightseeing, birding, chilling and drinking! I know its a quiet time of year for birding but any info on sites and birds I can expect really appreciated. Don't know where i'll be based but i'm willing to travel.

Thanks Paul

Hi Paul.

As you say, it's a quiet time, but I reckon you have to base yourself for at least some of the time in striking distance of Dawlish Warren - take a look at Opus for the Exe Estuary. The far south (Prawle area) can be good too. Best of luck.

Dave
P.S. also very near the Exe Estuary is the best pub in the world - the Bridge at Topsham (mind the WWI opening hours).
