Hello everyone, first of all :) My name's Jen, I'm 25 years old and live in southern Mississippi. I'm very new to birdwatching; although I've been a lifelong nature lover, I only started actively watching and identifying birds a few weeks ago. So far I've only made 12 positive identifications (the most exciting one so far was a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak on my backyard feeder) but I'm really looking forward to spotting as many species as possible!

Anyway, sorry for rambling. I just joined this site and I can't wait for the opportunity to meet other people who share my passion.
