The use of goats to control invasive plant species (Asian aka Japanese Stiltgrass) is being tested at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Southeastern Pennsylvania, USA.

A long article based on this experiment was written up in my local newspaper today but it did not see fit to put it into their on-line edition.

Conservationists here might find it of interest.

Goats were used at a nature reserve near Reno a few years ago in an attempt to control Whitetop. I don't know to what effect, however.
