Went to Dinton Pastures yesterday.... brilliant, saw my first ever Brambling and Bittern. I was over the moon!

Popped into my local patch (Moor Green Lakes) to see if i could see the Pintail that had been reported the day before but no luck. Did see a Little Egret which a first for this year and a pair of Bullfinches which is a patch tick.

Went to Lavells lake yesterday to see the bittern no luck but i did have decent views of a water rail.

Up in nottinghamshire this weekend so i had trip sherwood forest park to see if i could see any crossbills. No luck but see a fair few goldcrests.

Trip to dinton pastures today to see if i could see the bittern again which i did but also had a wander down to lea farm gravel pit. I was watching a gray wagtail wen suddenly evrythin went up in the air and there it was a peregrine. I was watching it through my scope when 2 red kites drifted into the same view! Bargin

Good days birding today at Dinton Pastures. Saw my first ever scaup on Sandford lake then my first barn owl of the year behind lavells lake.

A good days birding today. Started on the downs in Berkshire,mainly to see the SEO but didnt see any,since found out that i was in the wrong area! Did see a Red legged Partride which is a lifer for me! also a tree creeper was a first for this year. Then went on to theale to see if the peregeine was there which was great views! Finally went to lavells lake and saw 2008's redshank and a kingfisher.

Popped into pleasley early this morning to see if there were any summer visitors about and there was! 1 L.R.P and 3 Wheatears. Cracking views all morning of the 3 birds right outside the hide! A lifer for me aswell.

Beautifull evening at Moor Green lakes produced my first swallow of the year which was great to see and i also finally saw a Chiffchaff after hearing so many.
