I'm fairly certain of both of these, and suspect that the Willow Tit has been here for ages, but never recognised as such. The call gave it away today, which tallies with my CDs, and also the absence of the white nape flash of the Coal Tit.

What a surprise ! Not seen one for about 2 years :) Just sat there in the hedge singing his head off.

81. Sparrowhawk - a nice spot - a juv came down on a greenfinch (??) about 15ft away in the front garden ! The yellow eye gave me the clincher of ID.

It's been a rubbish year for me with poor health and bad weather. Hoping to gte some better times in the 2nd half of 07.
