is the hide at feckenham open
It is NOT locked but has a sign asking that it should not be used...I used it the other day as it was torrential rain....
The rest of reserve is open as per usual.
Are there any grazing cattle on there, do you know?
There wasnt when I went on Friday week.
Is the Barny in the box in the middle field on way to the hide ?Barney still in his (her?) nestbox but way more difficult to see thanks to intervening vegetation. That's also obscuring the route to the hide but from it one adult dabchick was chasing away a youngster. Must be a second brood on the way.
I think that about describes it. In any case it's the only box you can see from Moors Lane and lately vegetation has obscured the best sight-line into that. I settle for binocular views since I don't have wellies to yomp across the marsh - probably for the best in terms of disturbance. Is the Barny in the box in the middle field on way to the hide ?
