Expert GPS mapping software (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
I use a Garmin GPSMap 60Csx since 2009 for nesting Passerine point-counts in my region. Very good device indeed.
I recently got acquainted with a GPS software (ExpertGPS) that would offer fine and different facilities (e.g. uploading images from Google Earth) to this Garmin model now being relatively old.
Does someone know and use this mapping software for these and similar purposes? Opinions?

Thank you
Luca
