its good to be back

i spent many happy holidays here back in the late 70's at Twynholm so its all ways nice to be around here
set off thursday morning........booked 3 nights at Newton campsite next to the A75
1 common tern 2 ravens ,red kite, buzzard and over a 100 common scoter distantly on the sea
friday
took the drive to portpatrick........lovely little village with some rather nice black guillemots in the harbour
then stranraer for pies......the pies in scotland are stunning
a few eiders in the harbour
then on to wood of cree rspb
this is a great wood loved it felt old pied flycatcher redstart cuckoo and wood warbler and sand martins from the boardwalk near the carpark some stunning sights
saturday
up to the red kite feeding station at bellymack farn in laurieston. despite seeing red kites daily this was special and 2pm they got fed
their fast when the food is thrown but what a sight 100 red kites feeding calling etc stunning and much better views than i had in the 80's at tregaron
so all in all a good trip great food and nice places
jessie enjoyed the beach and somehow that yellow campervan just had to get in the picture
